Katrina is a registered psychologist with 20 years’ experience. Her areas of interest include trauma, chronic health and pain management. Katrina utilizes a person centered approach focusing on empowerment of the individual through use of modalities that include, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, (EMDR) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Therapy.
Teaching skills of mindfulness, assisting an individual to strive to be the person they respect through realistic beliefs in themselves and fostering a positive attitude are directives for her therapy. Katrina is also qualified in hypnosis.
Important in improving the self, working on motivation, through aspects of compassion and a realistic approach, Katrina encourages individuals to seek and maintain the best they can be.
